VMX 2009 Keynote Intro Video

by vubui on May 13, 2009

We’re speaking at the Video Marketing Expo going on in Austin right now, with Brigitte Dale and many other awesome people (we’ll share more later).

I just wanted to quickly post the video we played as the intro to our keynote presentation… showing how we like to do behind-the-scenes videos of our shoots… then the “final product”. It got a lot of laughs… so I think it did its job. We shot it last night after we flew in… did the 3D motion effects… and played it this morning. Lan’s getting good at churning out some effects!

@Christine, you’re welcome, Christine! It was great to be in Austin and I’ll definitely be back… though it might not be until SXSW 2010. :P

Thanks for the vulnerability and courage to just be yourself. Automatically entertaining.

Thanks for the tips on your workflow at VMX09. I just wrote my first draft for my workflow. I use wordpress, iTunes, Podpress, Classic FTP, a MAC, Quicktime Pro (thanks to you guys), and final cut express.

Will share my written workflow on request.

@Daniel Williams, MD, Thanks Doc Dan! It’s always good to be able to share what we do and how we do it.

What are you using for the steady cam? I love how small and light it is.

@Travis Jon Allison, I use a Stedicam Merlin for all our steadicam shots. It’s the smallest and lightest one I know of, and actually supports fairly heavy cameras.

It’s extremely easy to make quick adjustments… worth the more than double cash you’ll pay for it over the Glidecam 2000.
