The Bui BrothersWe are The Bui Brothers… photographers and cinematographers specializing in online media and promotional photography.

Get to know a bit about us and our work through Dave Warner’s LensFlare35.com Interview with The Bui Brothers.

We both started personal videoblogs in January, 2005. In 2006 we started web show Noodle Scar with host Bonny Pierzina and broadcast over 200 episodes through 2007. It was also the first daily web show produced and distributed in HD.

We went on to produce the daily video content for The [b] School Blog, a daily educational videoblog for photographers with [b]ecker. We then teamed up with Dane Sanders to create Ask Dane, a weekly inspirational video podcast for photographers.

We adopted DSLR video shooting as soon as it came out (with the Nikon D90) and, with Smashface Productions, shot the first US television commercial on the Canon 5D mark II.

We teach DSLR video shooting and online media creation to professionals in numerous industries; and have been hired for DSLR production consulting.

We shoot conceptual and promotional photography mostly for web personalities and professionals. Our photo shoots of Felicia Day, Veronica Belmont and iJustine are our most popular to date and are a good place to start if you’re looking at our photographic work.

We provided all the photography for The Ninja Handbook and are the official photographers of The International Academy of Web Television for the Streamys.

We teach lighting and workflow workshops to professional photographers.

We organized (with Bonny Pierzina and Irina Slutsky) The Winnies web awards show held in Los Angeles in 2007.

We’ve been instructors and speakers at SXSW in Austin, Converge Two in London, VMX in Austin, BizConf in Florida, The Photog Retreat to the Bahamas, PictageU in San Diego, PhotoCine Expo in Los Angeles and PartnerCon in New Orleans.

We are available for speaking/instructing about DSLR filmmaking and workflow, videoblogging as marketing, photography and video lighting and other media related topics worldwide. We also offer custom workshops and consulting to photographers and video professionals.

We have a full production company and produce a variety of content. We have shot television commercials, web shows, promotional videos for small businesses and interviews both for television and web.

We specialize in headshots and conceptual promotional photography. We’ve also done “social media headshots” and product photography, as well as covered large events.
